A very nice place to be at actually, Family oriented. I had to visit all the way, as I was invited. Food looks good. The isi-ewu (goat head) delicacy is on point, the abacha (African salad) was yummy and the peanut is good. However, they lack staffers and you will wait a whole lot, owing to delays while bringing in your order(s). The goat meat pepper soup I had was not so tasty; I should have ordered for something else. They have only 30% of what they listed on their menu: so don’t go salivating yet, as you may not get your complete order and then be disappointed. You can’t take kids there at night or go there at night for fear of being harassed by thugs and street urchins- it’s not totally safe. But, it’s all good!

LOCATIONMararaba, along Abuja- Keffi Way.NAVIGATIONAfter Sharp Corner, Deeper Life Bustop immediately after NAGIS office, next right turn into the street of Olympia Canal (fenced building with red roofing), pass by Zimo Hotel, head down to the street end, to your right orange colored fence with the sign Obodo on it.If coming from Abacha Road make your way to Paris Africana School the tall building by the estate gate, obodo is situated there.SCENARIOGraveled stoned compound quite spacious and large with the restroom by the gate post, car park space and walk way to the sit out made of bamboo benches and seats. To your right, drinks and grill station,At the center, restaurant,By the left open space.AESTHETICObodo is designed in a native, traditional setting particularly to the Igbo clan with a bit of a twist in the artworks, floor boarding and style.Ground is both tiled & floored with gravel stones. The indoor lamp shed are woven baskets with light bulbs passed through hanging from the rooftop. A commix of mostly wooden seats & tables with woven basket type placemats and the bamboo type long seats with table.Seating arrangement is commendable such that proper social distance is in place and privacy condoned as to occupants of each table.Big sized standing fans on strategically placed with large open windows or ventilation.Television placed at the center of the forefront, which might be far off for you at one end and or close to you by the other end.Stereos hunged in place for channeling music of both the traditional and contemporary style. At the center of it all is the service area where th kitchen is also placed pass one door.SERVICEWe were attended to by very courteous staffs who where brutally honest going about their business joyed which is applaudable.FOODCatfish peppersoup N500 but was given head of fish which barely has any flesh for me & was told on advisement that was better than other part combined. I couldn’t get white rice as a side for I was told it would take two hours to prepare, neither could I get boiled yam so I opted for jollof rice which was very tasty but uncooked properly😔.Gizdodo had stew in it and tasted ok butpreparation time was a lot.Double sausage shawarma wasn’t prepared nicely with little chicken in it. Took about 30 mins to prepare.Unfortunately we ordered chips and chicken kebab but the order was misplaced and giving the time spent there that order was cancelled 😞.DRINKSOrdered for Berry Trace smoothie which was too sweet like sugar was added in it and not properly blended also took over an hour to prepare and serve.COMMENTObodo has a potential of greatness and fairness given the price of affordable meals and drinks but was short staffed and if properly maintained can grow more overtime.I’d be looking forward to my next visit soon hoping to get more out of there.Chao 🥰

Poor service ethic, slow food preparation, and some meals are lacking in taste. However their Gizdodo is absolutely delicious. I had to order 3 more plates just to get for my relatives to taste at home.

This was place was wow experience for me. The environment was serene. The set up was both native and contemporal. I have the fired rice which was testy. Their smoothies natural. And my favorite part was the Nkobi (goat head) so juicy and their customer service was unique. Hope to go back again.

Ambience is lovely, the artworks and bamboos give an aesthetic relaxing mood and their food is top notch. I love their menu, anyone visiting should try their smoothie 👌👌👌 no smoking facility and I totally love that. Perfect place for a decent outing with friends and families.

Still a new place, I like the African feel. Its Unique. When we saw the advert on Twitter we thought it was a restaurant and bar, so we came to check and there was no bar. Will suggest you add alcoholic drinks because the ambience looks like a chilling joint. Then the compound needs to be tiled.
