Changing of television is so annoying. How can the staff consider themselves before their guests. I requested for a particular channel, after a while they changed it because they gathered in the reception to watch big brother. So so annoying. When I asked after the manager they said hes not around with a rude attitude. So sad. After spending 3days, I cant come here again. Never

The notice in the rooms requesting visitors not to steal towels gives the impression to a first time visitor that the City of Abuja is a den of thieves. Negative PR for the hotel and city, my thoughts.

The hotel is decent. Rates between 8k and 15k. AC, hot water, TV, good bed all available. Its neat also.Its not the best but a good value for money for a budget hotel

This is a home away from home. It was my first time In Abuja and I am happy that I used this place. I left there two days ago. 7th June 2021. So this is a review from a recent visit.First, The staffs are very friendly. They under promise and over deliver - I remember when I came, the receptionist told me that they allow their Generator to rest for a few hours during the day. I said okay and was scared but damn, there was electricity for 24 HOURS. Throughout my stay in the hotel, once PHCN seize power, they turn on the gen immediately. Your AC works 24 hours too.Rooms are very neat and well taken care of. Every 2 days or so, someone comes to clean up your room and lay your bed. They are so professional and will not make you feel like youre not at home.The food is not the best but its not bad either. Most importantly, its not pricey. Foods in hotels are always pricey but St Matthias food price is very much affordable.In general, I loved my stay in the hotel. I wish many budget hotels in Lagos are this professional as I saw in Abuja. I am definitely using St Matthias again, anytime I come to Abuja.Thank you guys for your professionality and top-of-the-notch service.

Its very nice hotel. Very clean. The price for the cheapest room ( very good room too ) as of today 6/ Jan/ 2021 is affordable with an extra a possible refundable 0 fee that will be given back to to at checkout.They have a nice restaurant.Can do laundry service too...They have bar.There is a swimming pool here too.There do sales of some things including toiletries.There is good intercom system in the rooms.There is water heater also in the rooms.Television and air conditioning are available.Wifi also available for those who like browsing.They can get a vehicle for you to hire... A truly classy and serene place to be. Quite a memorable stay. Only need to improve Internet penetrability, as very poor reception persisted throughout my stay despite complaining about it.

If nepa doesnt come then there is no light at all. Toiletries are not change everyday but money is being collected which is bad. I hate lodging here so badly

Low budget hotel at a range of N8,000-N15,000, located in Utako, Abuja.Positives - Rooms are spacious, floors tiled, clean serene environment, good attendants, free fitness facility for guests(gym), 24/7 electricity.Negatives - poor sanitary facility: no toilet seat, no shower, so bucket is used, tiles discolored with age but clean(see pictures). The receptionist however claimed that renovation had started in the higher priced rooms and with time the repairs will trickle down to the lower costed rooms.Stayed there 3 nights though. At least it was clean, but they could do better, and hopefully after repairs an extra star will be added to their rating.

Poor internet service and dirty bathroom.

Room was not well ventilated. A lot of dirty corners and surfaces. Spaces in window railings filled with dirt and cigarette blunts. TV not clear. No blinds on window and glasses only halfway tinted.Good and serene location though.

Nice calm environment with 24/7 power supply and quality service. The rooms are equipped with cable TV network, intercoms, water heaters, air conditioners, solid leather seats, dual opening wall rope, varying colours of light bulbs, and comfortable king size bed. St Mathias also offers reasonable and fair discounts to customers on weekends and customers booking at least two nights in any of their luxury suits. Try it

Its a cool affordable place, for the price tag, the facilities are quite awesome. Lowest room is about #8000. Water heaters, free WiFi (ask the receptionist for the password after paying), 24hrs electricity and air conditioned rooms. An affordable place that offers good comfort.
