Served as a Legislative Intern at this place. It was an amazing experience, all thanks the Policy and Legal Advocacy Center. The work culture is similar to that of every other civil service environment. I learnt a lot and interacted with a diverse mix of people.

This is a must-go-to for every visitor to the FCT, unfortunately not everyone can because of security reasons. This place is the convergence of all people of this nation, intriguing is the diversity in dresses, languages, culture and so on. The view of the Aso Rock from the complex is awesome.

This is Nigerias highest legislative authority. Houses the Senate and the House of Representatives.Laws that govern the country are meant to be made here by the elected representatives of the people. Many a times, it is the theatre of the absurd as unwholesome actions including fighting, snatching of thr mace, jumping of fence, etc happen quite often than usual. However, the existence of this place grants the government its democratic status. There is no democracy without a legislature. God bless Nigeria, and Nigerians.

Nigerias democracy comes here to roost. A tastefully built complex that reflects the beauty of Nigeria and its government. Lies at the centre of the city. You can just see it from any high rise building.

Review №52

The scrutiny you go through to get there can be discouraging, but when you are inside the complex, its quite a sight to behold and you can easily get lost in the massive structure looking for a specific office. The big deal though is that that is where the legislation of this country (Nigeria) is cooked up, so every citizen has a representative there, therefore they have a stake. 👌

National Assembly (NASS) Complex. It houses the offices and chambers of the federal lawmakers of Nigeria. The Red Chamber (right) is the arena for the Senate plenary (Upper House) while the Green Chamber (left) is the arena for the House of Representatives plenary (Lower House). There are also several business offices and banks premised at the complex.Entry into this complex is restricted, any attempt to gain entry without the authorized permit or appointment will be resisted. Though many unauthorized persons who either seek favours from the legislators or simply need to market products still make their way in with the connivance of staff. However, DO NOT go without an appointment or necessary connection to avoid embarrassment.
