Beautiful campus, nice ambiance and located in the diplomatic zone in Abuja. We attended 2 programs while Celebrating International Ayurveda day (2020) and International day of Yoga (2021). H.E. The High Commissioner Mr. Abhay Thakur and other IHC dignitaries are so involved in every event, it encourages the whole team of internal as well as external partners and stakeholders.

So at the Indian High Commission, you are wetyjcomed courteously by the security guards, enquiries are made on what you intend to achieve on your visit and you are pointed in the right direction.Its expected that you should have completed all your processes online and have all necessary documents before you arrive here for whatever purpose (visa, ITEC, cultural events etc).Most of all ensure you have a valid invitation before you get here and before I forget do not come a bag any form of bag because its not allowed in and as the last time I was here they dont have boxes to keep them.

A truly wonderful experience

I visit 1st time HCI Abuja for my personal purpose and they are very friendly and all staffs are good and serious. Good location and very silent place... Good

Very neat place and well secured, everyone around seem very polite and nice. Theres a nice car park which is wheelchair accessible although with a lot of touts at the car park waiting for someone to mislead, theres an outside seating corner for those waiting to collect their entry pass. The waiting corner has 3 fans(one in front, one in the middle and one behind) and lots of waiting seats the police men there are fund of asking for tips though , so if you are one of those who loves to tip , get prepared before you leave the house. Going inside the place is neat and well kept. Everything so organized and neat. Theres a water dispenser inside the waiting room inside as well as its wheelchair accessible and air conditioned too. Theres no visitors toilet so if you have to use a toilet, you may need to walk towards the gate.The staff highly polite and oh my God the consular is adorable! He takes time to listen and not quick to making harsh decisions.

Well organised visa procedure. Plan to stay there a whole day. Phones and electronics not allowed in. Visa fee as of March 2018 is about NGN94,000.

Like most embassies, busy on the outside with roadside stationery hawkers making quick bucks from stapling your documents together, taking passport photographs to offering unofficial advice on visa interview documents requirement and arrangement.

The delay here is phenomenal, but once business starts for the day, lines move on pretty fast.
