My quest to taste Fishermans soup brought me here. I noticed they have 2 lounge. One for Vip and the other for general customers. The fishermans soup was served hot with pounded yam. My first time but I enjoyed the soup. You can pay either cash or using card. I stayed at the general lounge so there was influx of customers, seems they are known for serving best soups and other local delicacies. The staff are doing well to cater to all customers there. Lots of work there.
I had a meal at the standard restaurant. The food was OK and the variety was good but the place was extremely hot when I went there. They have some ceiling fans to cool tou down but nowhere near enough. Make sure you find a seat directly under one of these fans or else... :-)If you are feeling flush, they have a posh version next door but the service there is very poor. I went there with my sister and sat for over 20 min waiting for someone to attend to us, but no one did - not even to ask if we wanted drinks. So we left. Maybe we didnt look posh enough as their usual clientele.
Nice place to satisfy that niger delta culinary delight. Cool environment and an ok venue for family outing too. Just come with your empty stomach and full wallet and you would be glad you did. Ciao
I loved the dish, especially the egusi soup. It was truly sublime, definitely going back for more.
Their meals are nice but the place is crowded. A place to go to for southern meals
Poor customer service experience. Menu could be improved upon. While theres a variety of local cuisine to choose from, taste quality should be improved upon.
A good place for local South South Nigerian delicacies.
I came here to eat the fisherman soup and it was worth the trip. I thoroughly enjoyed it and made a mental plan to return soon with my wife. The ambience is quite nice and modern. Wait staff were nice and wait for my food was very minimal. I recommend it
Okay. Good place to get Local Food
Place was cool and clean with a good ambiance Food was served in very small portions. I had the Starch and Banga soup with fresh cat fish. Nice but the starch wasn’t properly made as it lacked the elasticity associated with it and the soup was served cold and didn’t taste like it was prepared by someone from delta. Service was ok.
I made a reservation via phone call with the number i got when I googled them. Thw service was fast. I ate a plate of banga soup, fresh fish and eba. This cost 2,000naira only with a complimentary 75cl water which i was greeted with when i entered.I like the food and the environment. However, i would suggest they have a printed menu or digital menu to browse through
Quick service. Good food
Nice delicacies, a bit crowdy. Can be improved for quality services
Nice, felt like home
If you are looking for where to eat that home made food.Just visit this place, they got it👍
Ate their banga soup and started throwing up immediately..it tasted sour and not fresh and the strach tasted funny too. Please avoid the banga nd strach, if u dont want to fall sick
Good food anytime expensive and worth the price.
Best place to get Niger Delta meals in all of Abuja. They have great portion sizes too.
The fisherman soup here is life. The soup portions are a lot, so try not to eat it all at once. I made that mistake and I couldnt walk after eating.😂
Lovely local food; varieties
Perhaps my being under the weather affected my taste buds but i didnt enjoy my pounded yam and banga soup with goat meat. Asides that the environment was clean, the waiters attended on time and there was availability of cold drinks. Also you can pay with a POS machineUpdate!Just ate their fisherman soup with pounded yam and Semovita, awesome. Totally enjoyed it especially with the Semovita. It cost 3000 naira as takeaway... Money well spent in my opinion
I they will have some delicious Niger Delta delicacies
Delicious meals. Fast, organized service. Their signature fishermans soup was so nice we had to come back the following day for more.😊
Native Nigerian southern dishes good choice
Food is tasty. Prices are reasonable. Service is fast. Location is easily accessible. Staff are polite and helpful.Environment is clean but not upscale. They serve local dishes only.If youre looking for a good meal in Abuja and youre not fussy about the environment, its a good place to go.
Very unprofessional staff!!!Definitely not going back there and won’t recommend this place!!!!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡Places like this would need a zero star rating.
I will vouch for all other soups except banga. The soup is too empty without even dry fish, or little little things to pick when eating. For that price? Haba if your choice of protein was goat meat or cow head you will understand what I mean. The fish covers that up. Fisherman soup has lesser sea food, the 1300 increment should cover for even a little snail and ngolo asides the periwinkle
Its a great restaurant in Abuja, its located inside the famous City park. These guys are just good.Their foods are always superb. You cant beat the taste. They have varieties here. You can also get fishermans soup. You can get good egusi soup. You can get a wonderful vegetable soup here. The have verities of swallows. You can see pounded yam, really pounded you know...You can get semo. You can get wheat 🌾🌾🌾 as well. They have garri.Apart from swallows, you can get rice here.. good rice..Their soup are usually full. You can use one soup for up to 6 raps or more of pounded yam.Come and enjoy
Good place with good local food. One of the best in Abuja. They do not use POS machines tho, so you need to always go with cash!!
Best meals from the Niger Delta region
Experience delicious home made food
Nice food, with variety!
I really love the fisherman soup
Good local food
Returning to the Nigerian delicacies again and it lovely!
Its located at the heart of the city centerYou can find all sorts of local meals there, rice, plantain, banger soup, white soup, egusi soup , Ogbono soup, ọha soup etc and assorted swallows like starch, garri, pounded yam, fufu, as well as assorted meat, fish, turkey, and other goodies associated with great food taste

Wonderful place
Great place
Meals was great. Freshly made. Had pounded yam and banga soup with Catfish. Awesome experience. Loved it. Staff was courteous and respectful. The owner is super nice (God bless her heart). Hope to come back soonest as the restaurant is inside the Abuja City Park. The security of the Park themselves are awesome
Great restaurant for Delta / South South cuisine. Good parking space. Needs better service delivery.
Niger Delta local restaurants. Their local is great.
The South South in the North!! Well-prepared South South dishes. It has a general restaurant hall and a different building for VIP. The VIP hall is serene although the tables are few. They also have a standard bar with varieties of wines. Cash and Card payment are available. The pounded yam, Afang and fresh fish I took was the bomb.
Excellent taste
Good Food
They sell good food there. And you need to try their Fisher man soup .. tasty and nice. But the picture you have here is different from what you will see.
The Fisherman soup is perfect
Lovely fisherman soup
Nice, delicious meals except that their fisherman soup is not as it used to, now with lesser seafoods in it but its kool
Their food is excellent
So much Love
I went there with my dad and uncle. We all ordered pounded yam and fishermans soup. It was really delicious 😋.
Always tasty
The fisherman soup and pounded yam is a must have!!
Great food
Located inside City Park. Serves delicious Niger Deltan dishes true to its name in mega/oversize soup plates 😁. It is a regular place of mine. I particularly like their white soup and fisherman/native soup.
Lovely place will always visit
Best place to have south south dishes... nestly and nicely prepared meals.
Just in cade you decide to give it a try, please check out the fisherman soup. It would blow your mind away. I recommend any day.
Very lovely place for all your local and African dishes 😍❤️
Try their fisherman and banga soup. It comes recommended!
Home away from Home...if you dig South-South meals..
Eh its is so good that I forget 😂🙈 ask for change
Very delicious food in a nice area
Good food
Best Restaurant in Abuja
Good home cooked meals. Natural tastes and hygienic environment. Price is affordable
One of the best restaurants to find food from the eastern part of the country. They have very good food but the location is just basic , nothing classy or magnificent .staff are okay and they collect cash or card except for weekends where the do only cash .
Food is nice, tasty and at a good price. Place is rowdy and not quite serene. But the taste of the food is so nice.
I tried their Starch and Banga soup with catfish. It was great. I wish that I got more wraps of starch. Anyways, I will use my remaining soup for Eba later
Their food was just okey but rude female boss who runs the place
Nice food. Ambience is basic - nothing fancy.
Place to eat good food with home touch
You need to try their Banga soup as well as their fisherman Soup...I like the recent upgrade they did in the place...
Good food
