The place is a bit difficult to locate but when you do you would be surprised on the interior design, very nice, good ambiance really pretty, you can play games while waiting for the food ( which took long to be ready and there were a lot of flyes when it arrived). despite that the food was nice the palm oil very fresh and overall a fair price. Only thing against it was the toilette which could use a bit of work and clean. Would recommend.
It’s difficult to locate as there’s no signpost or banner! Look for the cream door once google maps leads you to a place that looks like residential parking space... sadly, I forgot to get a picture of the door. It’s quite cosy and fun, quite airy, spacious and not too crowded! The food was tasty. I had the bole and fish... no complains. Palm wine was also top notch, tasted fresh and I rapidly emptied one litre! The music was some sort of live music which was a welcome change but the singing and the instruments sounded more like noise than music, though it would have been better if the karaoke was more entertaining... even better if I had gotten drunk already!!!The owner/manager kept trying to talk to everybody and get them to sing. He’ll literally shove a mic into your face! I felt that was a bit too much as I only wanted a quiet evening with some background African music in a serene and cosy environment.I’ll surely visit again and update my review but until then, be sure to check it out and form your own opinion.
Great space. i especially love how such a small space was properly managed to feel very... spacious.the palm wine is cold and excellent and their food is always great as well.there are various games for you to play while you wait for your food.excellent vibes all round.
A relaxation spot where fun meets gaming. You wont want ro carry last. Youll should visit this cool spot.
Oh Rafia palmBeautiful scenery.... deep in the heart of town, and tbh I’ve you don’t go with someone that has been there before, you would most likely get lost. It’s quite, no noise from outside.Talking about the mealsWe had palm wine, fried yam And eggs, nkwobi and asun.I didn’t enjoy thr palm wine as much Caus I like mine freshly tapped but everything else was awesome.. the nkwobi tasted great, the yam was perfect.I’ll recommend for abacha too.For those of you that love quite places, you should try coming here.
I like the locale nature. Good food ✔ nice and serene environment ✔ super customer service ✔ aesthetic ✔ proper management of space✔ with all this good, one will wonder why five star was not the rate. Perfection is hard to attain we must strive daily. I recommend for local delicacies and palm wine, isi ewu, Abacha, kekefia, jollof agidi, Ofada rice, nkwobi, peppersoup, and few non-native Nigeria dishes and note they have more drinks options in Abuja. EDIT: no bathroom selfie sorry. If you request for eggs always tell them if u like too much or too little salt, mine was too much.
Lovely place to visit if you want to have local nigerian meal. It gives the african vibes. From the decorations to the view to the food, excellent. I went there twice because I couldnt get over the nkowbi and abacha. It comes at a very affordable price too. You might want to have their number because the location is quite tricky.
Nice place with games to play while you wait for your order. Cold fresh palm wine.
It was too dark to take pictures, but this place is like a mini local beautifully designed pub. There bamboo and wood everywhere. Palmwine is served in calabash and drank from wooden cups, Food served in wood shaped like leaves, really beautiful. The table was filled with plates with Abacha, Bole (Roasted plantain, ) and fish, Banga Rice and it was a pleasant meal. The ambiance is lovely and believe me, it is a place to bring your friends to. There have games also, XOXO, Draft, Chess, Ayo and Ludo. A pleasant place indeed. I look forward to coming here again.
Loved every bit of it, (except that the day I visited it was someones phone they connected to provide the music) the bamboo walls, the lanterns, the palm wine, the calabashes, the local games like ludo, whot, etc the entire village moonlight settings. For me this is innovation at its peak. So I went there with 2 friends, they took Asun and I took goat meat pepper soup(#1,200 a plate). The goat meat pepper soup was okay, and the Asun was really nice, it had this taste like it was roasted (maybe it was😁). The palm wine (#1,000 a litre...Im not sure🤷) was chilled and fresh (not my village standard though), I enjoyed my time there and plan on visiting again.
Was nice with the natural setting , and different local games to play ,and an ongoing music playing in the background, with a nice pam wine to go with .
A whole new and intimate experience. There is a raw and authentic feel to Raffia Palm. It seems to transport you back to some centuries prior.
The food tastes great but the environment not too good. Indoors is better than the outdoors.
This place has an elite and local feel at the same with various assortment of drinks and local delicacies. Perhaps one of the few places you can get Abacha in Abuja, although they need to work on it as the one I had was riddled with particles of maggic. The outward appearance doesnt do justice to the serenity that this place holds, you also have varieties of games to play while here, from whot, to Scrabble, to Ludo. Its definitely a place youd want to return to.
Theyve cool palm... 3 🌟 theyve tried
I love the idea behind this place. They have local dishes on deck, and I’m not gonna lie, that isiewu is big enough to feed a cow (not that a cow would eat a goat 👀). Their palm wine is a hit/miss though, depends on the day. It really is a whole Igbo village vibe, complete with the lanterns and stools. Only issue is, I’m not really a fan of village suffering, I feel like they could get more comfortable chairs (WITH backrests!) without taking away from the experience
Its very african and cozy. If youre into afro centric vibes and a subtle serene, this place is for you
A very cool and lovely place to beEspecially with your spurs
Its smaller than i expected but all in all i loved the space,. Absolutely loved the food.
The best place to have a good evening. The meals, palm wine and service are perfect
Love the African themeThey also have karaoke. And live band performance on some days
Decent fare, slow service, great decor. Nice coded joint for when you want a place less known.
Great spot, was so happy I found it. Upon entry the staff could be friendlier. Anyway, the lady who served me was quite lovely. Order for Abacha took a bit long, I’m assuming it’s because everything was freshly made. I don’t like very hot food so I asked for minimal pepper... food still came out super hot tho lol (wondering what the normal pepper will be like). Had The cocktail mogo, it was great. Had another cinnamon, clove and garlic concoction, too strong and harsh for my taste buds lol. I absolutely loved this place!!!
Highly Exquisite, fine environment with a well managed space.
Customer service was good... neatly decorated and friendly environment
The palm wine taste great, and I loved the board game.
Great food, really affordable, karoke made it more fun, good service too

Nice place with good environment
The food is good. Bit the place is warm
Had fun with the games
Been A Regular There.... Awesome Food and Cozzy Surroundings
The Raffia Palm was a refreshing place. I had Ofada rice and palm wine and they were top-notch. However, the only drawback for me would be that the place is small and rather cramped.Otherwise, it was refreshing really.
Awesome Afrocentric place.came in from Abu Dhabi and this is the most amazing to be... awesome food, great live music and excellent service.... this made me feel my roots
Superb cultural setting with smooth tunes to accompany delicious food and cold drinks.I am a fan.
Cool 0lace to calm nerves
Excellent service delivery
Place is nice, just needs better customer services. Little work on the food as well.(nkwobi was too bony)
Want a bit of that local feel, Raffia Palm is the perfect location. Local within the city!
Abacha was good
Great looking place. Village setting. Live music but tiny space and easily crowded.
Good palmwine, nice spot for board games
Nice ambience and good service
Great place but needs to improve on timing. It takes quite long for orders to get ready
Beautiful traditional ambience, meals freshly prepared, affordable, cool, matured and lovely aura. Oh by the way try their abacha and their peppered meat is to die for 👌🏾😍
Lovely ambience and friendly staff coupled with affordable prices. I would definitely be going back.
Nice place.
Small cosy place for quite relaxation....Recommended for small group of friends.
Not what I expected but is fine but small
Cool place. A good environment for a chill.
Relaxation at his best
They would need to work more on their customer service .Every other thing was great
I visited a whole Raffia Palm today and they said they dont have palm wine. What a shame!
Perfect place to remember home(village)i sooooo love it,food great d lady dat serve me was extremely nice
Went there at night with friends. Had the best time ever. For culture lovers and certainly a place to call home. Food was amazing and affordable
I love this place. The abacha and fish is sumptuous as is the native African rice. Im looking forward tasting other things on the menu. The ambience is very local and satisfying. Their service is very decent too. Check their menu online!
A very good hideout.Though its tight.Delicious traditional menu.Board games are available.Karaoke.Perfect place to have a quiet time.
The pictures presented on line wasnt really depicting the actual place. It was small compared to what I saw online. The place was really stuffy.
It’s a really hidden place on the street so be careful to not think you’re on the wrong street as it looks really residential. It’s quaint and really calm for a nice intimate hangout and the food is alright. They make the food from scratch as well so be prepared to wait.
A very relaxing place
The location is accurate and it’s a nice place to relax.
An african bar/restaurant.... The best place to chill. Homely and extremely warn, excellent service and private... You dont want to miss this experience
A place where you can get africa local delicacy (plam wine, nkwobi, abacha, isi ewu etc)
Nice
Excellent customer service and affordable meals .
Please reduce your menu to only include what your serve
The best local food. You should def try the bole and fish. Cozy and intimate setting.
The taste of the food is superb, the ambience and decor is wonderful as well.
