Salon market is characterized by a big overhead bridge which has eased of traffic around the area. There is also a post office around the market. The market is popularly known for the huge concentration of curtain traders. One can get different kinds of curtains, window blinds, curtain accessories here. Clothes for men and women, footwears, wristwatches, sunglasses and many more is sold in the market. There is a big building built by the government for the traders to use. Sapon is the center of Abeokuta. You can get a taxi to the major areas of Abeokuta directly from here. The shopping complexes are ideal places to buy electrical/electronic products, clothes and shoes, musicals, books and stationeries etc. A number of copy shop service providers and printers are also located nearby. The historic Nigeria Postal Service and Telecommunication Service offices are also located around the shopping complexes. Remember to sharpen your negotiation skills when buying. Service providers are quite straightforward in their pricing.
Taxi drivers wait indiscriminately and constitute a traffic nuisance
I would give this place 5star because everything is at ease there. The traffic is smooth, with the help of the overhead bridge and traffic control one doesnt have problem. Another thing is that at sapon you get varieties of stationeries of all kinds, wears, electronics and others. Yeah, a post office is also situated there making it easy for people to post their whatever at any time with ease.
