The playground was carved out during the planning of the new layout to serve as recreation center for the inhabitants of the new layout as well as the nearby Primary school. However, like any other public venture this place has been left abandoned almost. You will rather see Water selling lorries packed here in addition to nearby churches using it as car park and sometimes for crusade. Even when children within the vicinity comes to play here they will have to compete with cars.
